Logo project

Image
Est time: 1 1/2 hours       For this project I chose to include a cloud and an evil eye. I had trouble with this project because it was hard for me to come up with symbols that represented myself. I ended up choosing a cloud because all my life I have always loved looking at the clouds and deciding what the clouds might be "feeling" that day. I choose the evil eye to represent my spiritual journey, which I am still very confused about, but the evil eye is known for warding against evil. I consider myself to be a positive person so the evil eye helps keep away any negativity if your life. I did like doing the calligram project more than this one but I am still happy with the way it turned out. I though it was interesting to look at the different colors, what they represent and how they can be used to create a logo that even people with disabilities can see.

Calligram Project

Est time: 1 hour      For my project I choose to do a needle syringe. I choose this because my dream is to become a physician assistant so I choose a tool used in hospitals daily. I like this project way better than the first one because I prefer working in adobe illustrator rather than abode dreamweaver. This project did not take me as long as the coding one but I also think it turned out better. I also liked writing a letter to my future self so that hopefully look back at it one day and see what I have accomplished. It was fun to use all the different tools to create this image and I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Illustrator Tools for Beginners

Video 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzumUieDPY When first starting the video the man goes into how to use all the functions in Illustrator. The first tool I found that may be tricky to use is the layers. It will be something to get used to figuring out which layers to use and how to use layers to make your final project. Using the tool bar for shapes seems pretty easy compared to the coding we did because the shape is pretty much given to us and we just have to manipulate it into the way we want versus having to change the numbers. Overall I think using illustrator will be fun, the only tricky part seems to be remembering all the different functions and keys to use when manipulating different shapes.  Video 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSkhaLNKdX0 In this video we are shown how to take a drawn sketch and turn it into a logo or project on illustrator.  Transferring the picture to illustrator seems quite easy then all you must do is trace the drawing with pen ...
