Somewhere project

Image
For this project we had to photoshop ourselves into "somewhere" we have never been before. I had a lot of fun doing this project from taking a picture to then photoshopping it into my image. Photoshopping it in was not very hard, all I did was used the quick selection tool then mask the photo and save it. Once I did that I was able to embed my picture into my image, which I chose the walking dead. Since my photo was a little bit brighter than the poster I used the brush tool to paint a dark grey over myself then put the opacity down. In all this probably took me an hour but like I said I had fun doing it.

Homework 2

Image
I think this photo would be hard to photoshop because of the lighting. The light is from photoshoot lights so it is harsher than natural light , therefore harder to match.  I thought this image was cool because I love vintage photos with a twist or futurism. I thought this image was funny simply because of how her eyes look in the first picture and instead of closing them with photoshop, the artist just put a hand over her face.  This images inspired me because again I love looking a "vintage" photos. It was cool seeing the way the artist used perspective to change the way you look at this image. If you were to only see the first picture you would have thought it was any normal picture.

Photoshop Black and White to Color Images

Image
Black and White to Color Images Original Image For this project we had to convert a black and white image to colorful images. We used Color.Adobe.com to select the colors we wanted to use in our images. This project was fun but difficult to do. The hardest part about it was learning what tools and layers to use to help color these images, but once I got that down it was easy. You can defiantly tell that the color of an image changes the way you see it. I used the first technique to fill these in simply using the dropper tool to select my color then using the brush tool to fill it in. The other tricky part about this was making sure to stay in the lines when coloring. Overall I like how my pictures turned out, if I had to do anything differently I would probably choose a different image to fill in. I liked the colors I used but some of them look the same when filled in so I also in the future would use a different color pallet.

Photoshop Logo Spray

Image
Final brush image For my logo spray paint I decided to use softer colors to give the effect that the picture was holographic. I thought this project was fun to do but was difficult without instruction. Getting to know how to use all the tools in Photoshop will definitely be difficult but in the end will be fun and useful. We used the logos we created from illustrator to then create these images in photoshop, which have a spray paint affect to them. It was very interesting to see out plain black and white logo be created into something more. Since I've never used photoshop like this I hope to use these skills to eventually be able to photoshop my own pictures like this for fun.  Original black and white brush

Pixels- Homework 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAmSB5MQxOo In the beginning of the video we are taught how to use the layers and insert a photo into adobe photoshop. I think that part will be easy because it is similar to what we did in illustrator. When it comes to all the filters you can apply, which are found in the filter tab at the top, it will be easy to use but hard to remember where everything is. Using the text tool seems just like how it was in illustrator but there are different tools within it to change the text which will be tricky. Overall I think this video was helpful and an easy way to help get started in adobe photoshop.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61mkx_OV61s At first we are taught to open a new document and how to choose which template which I think will be the easiest part due to the fact the home page looks just like adobe illustrator. When it comes to finding the tools they are mostly all on the right of the screen and anything that is not can be found under the...
